The Story of With Glowing Hearts – A Canadian Unity Movement

With Glowing Hearts began its journey around 2017 when our founder envisioned Canadians celebrating Canada Day with wearable “glowing hearts,” as a visual reference to Canada’s national anthem that sings “with glowing hearts we see thee rise.” The first humble iteration was a simple cardboard paper cut-out heart covered with glow-in-the-dark paint and handed out at a Canada Day celebration in Abbotsford, BC. This small act was part of a dream that has grown into the With Glowing Hearts movement, an initiative currently forming to raise funds for Canadian charities through innovative glowing heart LED-lit pins.

Our Vision: A New Canadian Tradition by Canada Day 2026

We’re building a powerful new Canadian tradition with red “glowing heart” pins inspired by Canada’s national anthem. Each pin will feature a Canadian maple leaf, a built-in LED light, and a big-hearted purpose—supporting Canadian charities from coast to coast to coast. Our goal is to have these pins available leading up to Canada Day 2026, turning a vision into a lasting symbol of Canadian generosity and unity. This movement is just getting started, and we’re committed to making it a cherished part of Canada’s cultural landscape.
